Alamo Projects UK was incorporated in October 2018 by Frank Sweeney, after having served in various roles for multinationals such as Babcock UK, Hitachi (Japan, US and South Africa) and Mitsubishi (South Africa) in a career spanning 35 years on global power industry projects.

Alamo Projects operates in the power industry in the following areas:

  • Waste to Energy: Biomass and Municipal Solid Waste. Clients include:
    – Babcock and Wilcox (US)
    – Babcock and Wilcox Volund (Denmark)
    – Acciona (Spain)
  • International Dispute Resolution and Arbitration:
    – Expert technical witness.
    – Clients: Various (India, Thailand, Brazil, Estonia) through HKA.

  • Renewables 

  • Simple Cycle and Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) plants

Since 2020, due to Covid-19, Frank is running Alamo Projects UK from the Alamo Projects (PTY) Ltd office in Sandton, South Africa.

Alamo Projects PTY Ltd was incorporated in June 2017. Alamo Projects operates in the following areas:

Consultancy:  

  • Engineering and Dispute resolution for select clients.
  • Advisory services in the areas of coal fired, renewables, waste to energy and biomass.
